About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Accepting that this world is unfair and beautiful at the same time. I think the best way to have a happy life is to be nice and caring to other people. In spring 2017 I stopped my studies to volunteer in Serbia as many refugees are stuck there after the EU closed its borders. I met many people with only little perspective and unbelievable stories. It is impossible for me to put myself in their situation and to understand what it means to experience such things. Though I also felt personally that helping people who did not have as much luck as me. might be an essential part of having a happy life. Being nice to others has such a power!
So now I try to give my friends a voice by telling people about my and their experiences and doing presentations etc.
I feel that many people think this world is fucked up and there is nothing an individual can do about it. Though by giving hugs, smiling, supporting good people and good ideas everyone can make a difference. I am glad I know and feel that now. I am still working for a little NGO so I might do some advertising to support us :)
I zhink it would be cool that when I am old I can say, that I contributed to make this world a better place and created many nice moments for me and others. Thats enough of a mission.
ABOUT ME

I grew up in the outskirts of Berlin. Now I live in Leipzig and I am studying Geography.

I am also one of those who don't really like to write about themselves. I don't want that anything I write in this profile will discourage people to meet me. Even if you are a Nazi or an owner of a bank (I can't imagine anyone here is one of those though) I would still meet you and be interested in your story as long as you are open for my opinion and thoughts as well. I like reading other peoples profile too though so I will try to give you a little insight.
I don't really make plans for life right now, I just try to let it happen and consider what is the best for me. If there is something I really want to do, I do it (I know I am quite young but so far it worked). Let's see if I get my studies done with this attitude :) I just try to make the best out of time on earth, one day it can be over and it might be tomorrow. I don't want to take the whole world too serious. It is great to be born and now I am here to have a good time.
Especially when I am traveling I am hungry for new experiences so I am happy if you show me something or do something with me that is new for me. I really like open conversations with no or only little taboos and secets.
I used to play a lot of football, now I do some Yoga as my back hurts sometimes and I enjoy the silence. I can juggle and balance things on my nose, I can show you how to learn that. Also I like going to convention, festivals, parties etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I only used it while traveling. I live in a student accommodation right now, it is not really nice to host people here. I will move out soon though and I hope I can spend some time then with some great couchsurfers in beautiful Leipzig. I really like the idea of couchsurfing and it definitely improved the quality of my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was 15 me and my dad visited my older brother in South Africa who lived in Queenstown at that time and we used couchsurfing while travelling along the south coast. When I lived in Wales I surfed with my brother on couches in south England.
I used it when I was hitchhiking with a friend from Berlin to Istanbul and in some countries in Asia as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a stage in front of about 50 people put Nutella on my ass and people from the audience were licking it off. That was nice :).
The most life changing experience though were the two months volunteering for refugees in Serbia.

Teach, Learn, Share

My father used to work as circus director for a youth circus. He transferred the skills of juggling and unicycling to me and my brother. If I visit you I will have most likely juggling balls with me and gonna teach you juggling. Everyone can learn juggling in just half an hour! Also I can show you how to balance things like spoons on your nose.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good time probably.
