Overview
About Me
we got married in august 2009, and haven't quite stopped traveling since. we spent one year in south korea as english teachers, and then used the money we saved up to do a little more world-roaming in the u.s., europe and africa during the winter and spring of 2011. we couchsurfed the entire time, made some amazing friends and had wonderful experiences, and now we're ready to give back. we landed in chicago for a few years while andy attended graduate school and lindsey dabbled in freelance journalism and giving tours at a museum of fine & decorative arts. after another season of travel is se asia, these days we live and work in greatham, england with a charity called l'abri fellowship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
after experiencing couchsurfing, it's the only way we ever want to travel ... there's just something really unique -- and amazing -- about an online community that continually brings real people into real interactions together. it's a sign that technology really can augment face-to-face relationship and community.
Interests
devouring books. listening to music with lyrics that sort of dig at you, that mean something. writing, everything from fiction to poetry to blogs to journalism. learning about other cultures. meeting new people, being changed by them. stunning photography. art our friends make. the environment, politics, having good conversations about them. wandering around museums. good food, good wine, and good beer and deep conversations over all three.
