ABOUT ME

We are a married couple who are settled in quite happily in Perth. There always seems to be something going on, and we love it when people drop by. We do not get out to the night scene very much which is just as well because here in Perth there is no night scene. We do enjoy trips into Ottawa, however (about an hour away) as well as Kingston (about an hour-fifteen)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have been living in Perth for about eight years and can accommodate up to eight people, but have only one bathroom. We can fit two in a private guest-room, two on two separate sofas and two on a double-inflatable bring-a-bed. We can accommodate an extra child as well as we have a toddler-sized trundle-mattress. We love visitors, many or few, but do not get many out here in beautiful Perth, Ontario. we have also listed ourselves as family-friendly because we have family ourselves, and we work with children all day and are used to having children around. Only Johann has couch-surfed as a guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We do not get a lot of visitors, but we have hosted a number of cyclists who are traveling from Toronto to Ottawa, as well as exchange teachers and the occasional walker. On weekends we love to open our home, but if you stay on a week-day you will find that we have to be out of the house pretty early in the morning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure if this is amazing or just gross but we toured the (working) sewers of Paris a few years ago.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are crazy enough to show up with an essay in hand, we would be happy to mark it for you... We have a piano and some guitars lying around if you want to try them out... We are always looking for someone to practice our French with.
