Overview
About Me
I am a life-long learner currently living in central PA, working in DC, and getting ready to move to California to pursue my PhD in Sociology. I like cheap plane tickets, watching Netflix in my pjs with a cup of tea, and reading intersectional feminist literature.
Interests
In undergrad my specialization was Latin American politics and in grad school I will focus on gentrification and education policy (US).

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music but usually get fixated on one album at a time. Currently I am listening to J Cole's "4 Your Eyez Only" on repeat with a couple of songs from the Moana soundtrack and some podcasts such as NPR's "Code Switch" thrown in.
I love movies (I used to be a film major) and Moonlight earned that Grammy win. I enjoy a good documentary, foreign film, or drama the most.
I am an avid reader and am currently reading Swing Time (Zadie Smith is fabulous!) and Evicted. I prefer nonfiction, historical fiction, and black/feminist literature.
