CURRENT MISSION
"Create something beautiful or die trying".
ABOUT ME
I first got into couchsurfing during my first solo cross country road trip in 2009!! and now, in 2018, I have been traveling full time with NO home base for over 5 years!!! I've looped through 30 some odd countries and counting - making my way as a freelance artist and entrepreneur. I travel abroad once or twice per year, while touring mostly in the United states out of my van.
About me:
Addicted to the world and exploration. Bewitched by the mountains and oceans - and all the strange, new cities I find on the way! I believe in the importance of educating oneself based on experience and practice.
I've travelled a few places in the past, but the world is big and there's much more to see.
I'm silly, smart and absent minded, I have a bunch of rainbow animals tattooed on my arm. Gemini - charming, witty, interested in everything at once, somehow :D Easily distracted, enjoys constant stimulation of the mind.
I want to meet others who realize the quality of friendship has nothing to do with distance or proximity. I've met some of my best friends in person a handful of times over years. I'm thrilled when my faraway friends keep in touch!
...I really need to update my travel photos :)
PHILOSOPHY
You are the reality you create!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to build a network of friends and good times all over this darn planet. Spread the good word of the couch, ya hear?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
On my way out to Burningman 2009 I had about 3-4 days worth of driving to tackle completely by myself. A friend of mine recommended couchsurfers and reported positive experiences. Now that I've done it, I couldn't agree more. I've had the best hosts along the way and met some amazing people through the couchsurfing camp at the burn, and I hope to continue meeting many more.

Music, Movies, and Books
indie, folk, funk, jam, dance, dupstep, punk cabaret, 90s, pop, hip hop, and all those underrated subway preformers...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In recent memory:
Hiking the steepest point in Zion National Park
Watching lava flow into the Ocean on Hawaii
Sunrise riding down the Grand Canal in Venice
Hiking the Swiss Alps
Canoeing 5 miles into the swamp of the Everglades and spending the night on a chickee... by far, the most impressive starry night I have ever seen in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook up a storm!! I believe that's how I earned my first vouch :)
I've bits and pieces of skills and talent in many departments. Happy to exchange personal photos for the kindness of my couchsurfing host - I'll shoot your apartment (do you need great photos for air bnb?), YOU - you and a loved one, your dog, anything I can do to leave a token of appreciation behind :)
I'd love to learn from those who can truly survive under any circumstance. I want to learn from people who've experienced more than me. Who are better than me.
Things I'd love to learn or get better at in the near future:
hiking, sustainable living, scuba diving, new recipes :)
