About Me

ABOUT ME

Generally I'm pretty relaxed, spontaneous (some people would also call it incapable of planning ahead :D) but also considerate and responsible. I'm not one of the people always smiling, might be I'm a little melancholic at times, but I also like to have a laugh with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get to know new people and places! At the moment I'm traveling alone a lot so I really enjoy the company of people that can show me more of the city! I had some nice experiences with couchsurfing in Spain even with people that could not host me.

Interests

I like going to concerts and listening to music (the hard stuff: alternative, metal, punk, hardcore...) hanging out and cooking vegan with friends, calm down in a bar after the hard work of studying etc. I like to see new places not just as a tourist but I also enjoy the opportunity to get to know a city or country from the inside by living there for a prolonged period of time (at least if you consider 2 months long). And I always aim to educate myself about the history and current situation of places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly rock: Rise Against, Billy Talent, SOAD... I'm not a big movies person I don't know why. I just usually end up watching a series instead of a movie (Black Mirror, Breaking Bad, HIMYM, NCIS...). As for books I really love to read, basically anything that comes across my way from fantasy to thrillers and historical novels. Currently I've gotten a lot into science fiction, e.g. Ursula K Le Guin's The Dispossessed is amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking over the alps on a trip organized by my school. 9 days of exhausting kilometers on kilometer, beautiful view and getting to know teachers and fellow students from a different side.
Travelling but especially living for some months in Spain and Brazil was amazing and has shown me that there are so many places out there to see!
The more you travel, the more places appear on the "must visit" list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a really conscious person or at least I try to be in various fields, that is environmentally and socially. I'm interested in politics and cultural differences. I consider my self a leftist, environmentalist and feminist for a society free of hierarchies, dependencies and discrimination against any group of living beings including non-human animals! It's always interesting to get to know someone else's point of view on a variety of topics.
On top of that I do think of myself as a moderately good cook, so if you're interested in a nice vegan meal...
