ABOUT ME

Very outgoing, a bit wacky but quite practical and pragmatic. I'm always on the look out for lifes next adventure! I'm currently studying for a PhD in experimental archaeology and am just about to undertake the 2nd leg of my fieldwork around Europe!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I both surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A reasonable amount of surfing experience but none hosting just yet.

Interests

I train martial arts, dance, read for hours at a time, and practice traditional living skills including, archery, flintknapping, basketry, tracking, trapping and hunting; hide tanning, edible plants etc. I also enjoy more ordinary activities..... nothing beats curling up on the couch with a glass of wine to watch a terrible action film!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Fantasy, and a bit of sci-fi (i.e. ender's series), anything to do with survival living, adventure traveling, or crazy adventure stories (The Long Walk)

Music: Metal to country to opera and back again.....

Movies... I watch less of these, fav would be Lucky Number Sleven, The Princess Bride, followed by the Long Kiss Goodnight then anything with great martial arts scenes... ala, Old Boy and Ong Bok!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to light a friction fire, make and fire pottery in your backyard, construct any number of fun stone age weapons, track, trap and use every part of an animal, depending on your location a bit of foraging, make baskets to hold said forage, defend yourself in a dark alley and on a more sedate note..... belly dance :D
