CURRENT MISSION
Is to stay safe and social distance and due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus we will not be accepting any guests for the summer. Hope to resume in 2024!
We are Teri and Dale and our current mission is hosting travelers while we plan our next trip and enjoy the experience of couch-surfing. We enjoyed our winter in Colombia studying Spanish in Medellin as well as heading to Spain France and Germany in Spring 2019. And now we are staying closer to home and planning some trips to México and in the U.S.

A Dale le gusta tocar la música folclórica de todos tipos en la guitarra, monte la bicicleta y jugar pickle-ball. Pregúntale qué el juego es. Es tranquilo y relajado, extrovertido con un buen sentido del humor. Dale ha sido retirado de su trabajo de ingeniería desde 2008 y una de las primeras cosas que hizo fue inscribirse en un colegio comunitario a tiempo completo para un curso de fabricación de gabinete. Voluntario para Hábitat para la Humanidad y ayudó a construir una casa en Recife, Brasil
Teri le gusta el jardín y cocinar, le gusta andar en bicicleta y nadar. Ella prefiere sobre todo los alimentos vegetarianos. Ella es amable, pero menos extrovertido y obtiene (un poco) destacó a veces. Ambos amamos viendo a nuestros nietos crecer y disfrutar siendo abuelos !

Dale likes to play folk music of sorts on the guitar, bicycle and play pickle-ball. Ask him what game that is. He's easy-going and relaxed, out-going with a good sense of humor. Dale has been retired from his engineering job since 2008 and one of the first things he did was enroll in a community college full-time for a cabinet-making course. Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and helped build a house in Recife, Brasil
Teri likes to garden and cook, likes to bike and swim. She prefers mostly vegetarian foods. She is friendly, but less out-going and gets (a little) stressed at times. We both love watching our grandchildren grow up and enjoy being grandparents !!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We hope to be available for hosting world travelers in the Seattle summers as the weather here is awsome and a good time to travel. We like people of all ages and wished we had traveled more when we were younger and encourage more people to see the world. Will accept all ages as long as they are respectful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had a wonderful experience couch-surfing in Europe and enjoyed some wonderful guests who have visited us in Seattle. We hope to do more hosting in the Summers in Seattle. We have hosted students from various countries such as Mexico, Korea, Japan, Thailand, Brazil and Mongolia while our children were teens and it was an enriching experience for us all.
EXPERENCIA EN COUCHSURFING
Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa couchsurfing en Europa y disfrutamos de algunos huéspedes maravillosos que nos han visitado en Seattle. Esperamos hacer más hospedaje en los veranos en Seattle. Hemos acogido a estudiantes de varios países como México, Corea, Japón, Tailandia, Brasil y Mongolia mientras nuestros hijos eran adolescentes y fue una experiencia enriquecedora para todos nosotros.

Interests

Teri: Traveling, Exploring farmer's markets in different cities and countries, Visiting people, visiting elderly, Bicycling, hiking and walking, exploring gardens, parks and zoos. Gardening and growing food, I took a permaculture class in Costa Rica. Know how to make a stove out of a 5 gallon metal paint can. Swimming, health and nutrition, Reading, studying Spanish and watching dance and theater, people-watching, Facebook, point and shoot photography, canoeing and kayaking. Reading to children:Reading Partners Volunteer .
Dale: Traveling, Playing guitar and singing, woodworking, helping adult children with carpentry projects, bicycling, yoga, traveling, tutoring English, Studying Spanish, Canoeing and kayaking, watching sports
MAS ACERCA NUESTROS INTERESES
Teri: Viajar, Explorar los mercados de los agricultores en diferentes ciudades y países, Visitar a la gente, visitar ancianos, Bicicleta, senderismo y caminar, explorar jardines, parques y zoológicos. Jardinería y cultivo de alimentos, tomé una clase de permacultura en Costa Rica. Saber cómo hacer una estufa de una lata de metal de 5 galones. Natación, salud y nutrición, lectura, estudiar español y ver danza y teatro, observar a la gente, Facebook, fotografía, piragüismo y kayak.Leer a los niños.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day is a day to celebrate--Most amazing thing we have done is to help raise 3 children to be amazing adults with wonderful partners! Since we retired we traveled to Peru and studied to get TOEFL certificates and taught English as volunteers in Nicaragua and Ecuador.
Una Cosa Increíble que He Hecho
Cada día es un día para celebrar - Lo más asombroso que hemos hecho es ayudar a criar a 3 niños a ser adultos increíbles con esposas maravillosos! Desde que nos retiramos viajamos a Perú y estudiamos para obtener certificados de TOEFL y enseñamos inglés como voluntarios en Nicaragua y Ecuador.

Teri: Interested in all ages of people, have worked as a nurse with elderly and taught preschool. Interested in herbal and natural medicine, organic gardening, solar energy and sustainable living. Like baking and sharing food. i save seeds to share. Teaching English
