About Me
ABOUT ME
I am an elementary school teacher that is taking a little break to live in Alaska for a while. I used to be a kayak guide in Haines, AK but last summer I decided to get back to my teaching roots and start my own science-based summer camp for local Haines kids. I live right on the ocean with great views of the water and mountains and spend my days in Haines working with kids, riding my bike, skiing in the winter, climbing peaks and paddling in the summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bike touring through Alaska was incredible! Probably the best adventure of my life and the reason why I now call Alaska home. I've done a little traveling, not much though. Last winter I did a 29 day river trip on the Grand Canyon with 16 of my good friends and it was....so amazing I am still speachless!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unfortunately I live in a very small cabin so I prefer that you pitch a tent in the yard. We do have a little floor space in an unfinished basement where it is possible to sleep if it’s raining outside.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey
