About Me

I graduated college with a degree in Social Work a couple of years ago and ended up declining a grad school offer to travel and work onboard a National Geographic expedition cruise ship. I have worked on a Department of Defense study, interviewing military families to learn about their experience of PTSD and help develop programs for them. I have worked at a dry cleaner, as a nanny, as a professional organizer, an administrative assistant, a divorce researcher, and a nutrition advocate. Obviously, I love trying new things and learning from whatever place or situation I find myself in. Most of all, I love to engage with the people around me and learn about their world and unique experience of reality.
Now, I am beginning to shadow anthropologists in the field to determine if that's something I'd like to go back to school for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have an opportunity to volunteer with Archaeology Southwest in Tucson/Gila Bend during the month of March. I would be out in the field overnight from Monday-Thursday, so I just need a place to stay on the weekends during the month of March. I am more than willing to help cook/clean/etc whatever you may need, in return for your hospitality.

Throughout my travels over the past 4 years, I have met many lovely people. Many have encouraged me to use Couchsurfing during my travels, so I am excited to start meeting people in this community.
