About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exchanging life bits to trigger mutual growth

ABOUT ME

I guess that, like everyone I know, I'm a living paradox, a complex person, but if I had to sum it up I'd say: genuine, caring, distracted, open-minded, analytical, funny, curious, sensitive, creative and stubborn ;)

PHILOSOPHY

There are no mistakes, only experiences you choose (or not) to learn from. Do not judge or despise people, because if you had walked through life in their shoes, you'd be in the exact same position.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to Couch surfing, so no experience yet! But I want some! ;) Of course, I have hosted many friends on many occasions and crashed at friends. It's pleasant to feel supported by a network/community, and to help in turn. We don't need money to be fulfilled and take care of each other.

Interests

I love spending time outside, especially in nature, so I usually get pretty motivated by any activity taking place in the outdoors. I love remote, isolated areas. Yet, I am also a very urban girl in some ways: I love music, theatre and improv shows, as well as dancing (especially swing and blues). Finally, I love (and need) traveling. Traveling is my drug. Is it my need for novelty and learning? Is it a needed escape from "real life"? A taste for "real life"? Or simply a way to connect with all kinds of interesting people? Get inspiration from new cultures, ways to look at the world, sights, smells, feelings? Probably all of the above. And more... Obviously this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding my interests! Actually, one of my struggles in life is that I have too many of them: "choosing means scarifycing", and I find that tough ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very curious and easily interested in many things, but just like that, I would name Lhasa de Sela (a singer I love), Amélie Nothomb (a writer I love), and Xavier Dolan (a film maker I love).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My job as a counsellor for a kids help line makes me feel like I do something pretty amazing every time I work. I feel that I help the next generations (our future) develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and hope. I even think I have saved lives on a few occasions :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll be happy to sharecwith you anything I know from human sciences, and mostly from working with people. I can also teach you how to make raw dark chocolate and good salads ;)
I want to learn about nearly anything in life, but especially about organic farming, sustainable ways of living, cooking and arts in general.
