About Me

I stay crunchy in milk, and am part of a balanced breakfast.

PHILOSOPHY

Bring more positive than negative energy to the universe.

Enjoy my daily life and expand my understanding of the human experience.

Honestly though I have no philosophy as many central aspects of my life are completely contradictory to each other:

I'm an environmentalist who likes to travel.
I'm an anti-consumptionist who works in advertising.
I'm a social liberal.
I'm a marine commando pacifist.
I'm an atheist pantheist.
I'm a determinist trying to decide what to do with my life.
I'm an introvert who loves to meet new people.

So I guess I'm full of shit? Oder Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

NOTE: Working in the day, and sometimes busy in the evenings, so more into hosting people who mostly can entertain themselves.

CS to me is a wonderful place where people of all origins and backgrounds can meet each other and get to know each other and share a brief moment in time and leave it with a bit more peace, love and understanding. So basically drinking a few beers with other young, english-speaking, wealth-enough-to-travel people living in western cities. But what else am I gonna do on a Monday?

I mostly end up meeting people that are relatively similar to myself but some of my most memorable experiences have been with people that were very different in some way. So if you're into some different lifestyle that I know nothing about or that is different to mine, I'm happy to meet :)

I live in a 7-person shared flat in Kreuzberg. Getting along with and being respectful to all of my flatmates is of course very important for a successful stay.

Couch requests most likely to be accepted:

- include a good (or bad) reason for why you want to meet me (requests that don't show you've read my profile will most likely be ignored)
- include at least a short description of plans for Berlin, so I know if our interests match and if I have time for your proposed plans
- are from people whose profiles give some kind of indication of what kind of people they are (preferably with some references from hosting - give some, get some)
- are from people who want to discuss various topics even (especially) if their views are different from mine.

You can send a request even if all of these requirements aren't met, if you seem cool and I have time I might host you anyway :) And if you're on the road and don't have enough time /wifi to write a proper request but think we'd vibe anyway, just say that and I can probably pick it up from your profile.

Please BEGIN your request with the word FILTER, so I know you've read this far. Requests not starting with this word will not be opened.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Loved it (almost) every time.

Interests

I'm open to new experiences and get along with all kinds of people. I'm happy to be just by myself, with one good friend or a whole bunch of people. I hardly ever get mad since I find that most bad experiences tend to be either funny or educational in hindsight.

Right now I'm interested in trying to be ecological, how to live a good life, how to manage your career, how people and society function, and spiritual stuff. Trying to drink little (for a Finnish person) at the moment although I still enjoy a good night out or a few (too many) beers now and then.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The universe contracting into a bright beam of light resonating at a single pitch constantly evolving, or something to that extent.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would like to learn a new language but haven't decided between russian, mandarin, spanish and french yet.
I'm interested in learning from people who have lived in "alternative" ways, like living in squats, traveling for a long time, living in nature etc.
