About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To eat as many onion domes in Russia as possible

ABOUT ME

I play Quidditch for Louisiana State University.
I am a Seeker. I am a Finder.

I can make a fort out of any room!
Christmas lights are necessary, though.

I like living. I like laughing.
I'm exploding with joy and don't know how to let it all out!

I love roofs. When I'm on roofs, things make much more sense.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life for happiness. True happiness. Whatever that means to you. I strive every day just to be myself, which usually means being ridiculous, saying things that don't make too much sense, dancing and singing alot, and trying to make other people happy. This gets a little difficult because some people don't really want to be happy, but there will always be people that try to get you down, so I just don't let it bother me! Why should other people control my mood?

I'll be happy no matter what, damn it! :-)

Interests

I'm interested in everything. I changed my major from Chemical Engineering to Music Composition, came to Germany and added a German major, added a Biology minor and plan to go to medical school and study neuroscience. I just want to understand life. People. I know I won't be able to understand everything just through studying, but learning is a wonderful gift and I intend to make the most of it. What I find the most beautiful are the connections between everything. How music affects chemical processes in the brain. How the billions of chemical exchanges affect who we are and how we interact. How our individual psychologies work together in society. How societies function across the globe and throughout history. How different cultures communicate through different languages. How these languages affect our mental processes, and so on and so on. Maybe if I can just keep learning, I can come closer to understanding this crazy world we live in.

But I'm not all about books. I'm interested in people, where they come from, music, art, coffee, literature, watching LOST and Arrested Development for hours on end, eating terribly unhealthy things. Ask me anything, I'm probably at least mildly interested in it. It's a problem, I know...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 6th grade I was on a TV show hosted by Dick Clark, and I got to personally meet him. He was kinda scary.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always will to teach anyone willing how to solve a Rubik's cube! (It's actually not all that hard.) And if someone wants to learn a song on the piano, let's give it a go! I know a bunch of random things that some people find cool: how to blend into German society without looking TOO dumb, most of the world capitals, beautiful and interesting words, alot of things about Louisiana and Cajun culture, how to play Quidditch (Muggle-style), how to soft-boil an egg, etc.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Russian Federation, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
