About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Planning a trip to Italy!
We're starting in Amsterdam(cheapest flight we could find), spending a day there, then heading to Milan. We'll be there for the weekend before flying to Sicily to begin our trek around the island, then up Italy through Rome, Florence, Venice, and Turin. We are so excited and hope to see some of you there!
ABOUT ME
I sing and play guitar. If you have a guitar I can play a few songs for you, some you might know and some originals. Food is big for me when travelling. I love to cook but I also love to try local foods. I'll cook for you if you cook for me? I love being in nature, hiking, climbing, etc. I enjoy watching sports and much more enjoy playing them... I've been into rugby lately. I want to join the club in Norfolk, but Sarah says I have to wait until after our trip so I don't injure myself. I've been a woodworker and a handyman professionally for a few years now. I'm good at fixing things. I've only been couchsurfing once, but I fixed a washer, a light fixture, and an internet router while I was there. I'm also good at making things. And I just got my real estate license a few days ago(Feb 2018) so I'm very excited about that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm an explorer. I love to see things that others don't see. If I get to travel the world, I'd prefer not to do it under the shadow of a hotel. I want to stumble onto places they don't show in guide books. I have trouble staying on trails when I'm hiking. I feel like couchsurfing is a good way to go if you want to find more than you can find on google.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Good sound, good lyrics, good voices. In that order. My favorites are John Legend, The Script, Sara Bareilles, Bob Marley. I'm not terribly picky though.
Books: I'm a big fan of philosophy, fantasy, science fiction to an extent. I like stories that deal with big hypotheticals and philosophical questions. Dystopians are appealing to me. 1984 is terrible yet awesome. I liked the Hunger Games. Things Fall Apart stands out as well. Ishmael is a great book too. Slaughterhouse Five, Hitchikers Guide. I don't really read too much, but I know what I like.
Movies/TV: Anything I'd like to read, I'd like to watch in a movie. I also like Action movies and comedy. Movies I've seen recently: 'The Commuter', excellent movie. 'Annihilation' on the science fiction side of things, also good, very trippy. The local independent theater did a showing of Groundhog's Day on Groundhog's Day so we couldn't miss that. Classic.
Teach, Learn, Share
What do you want to learn? I'm always teaching myself things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a handyman and a woodworker by trade. I am a creator. I can cook food. I can fix things. As of writing this, I've only surfed with one person, but while I was there, I fixed his washer, re-wired a light fixture, and set up his router so he didn't have to use the factory set 47 digit password. And cooked dinner one night. I happened to have a lot of free time on my hands on that particular trip, but I would love to help with any small projects if I can.
