Recent update: Software developer and photographer here. Recent college grad as well. While I now have a real job and my travels will be cut a bit, I do still want to stay active in the couch surfing community.
I love to learn about all different cultures and ways of life. I've been trying to travel as much as I can and try new things while I have a chance. I have made so many friends along the way and created some awesome memories, and hope I can definitely continue this. Lately, I've been trying to stay active between playing hockey, soccer/football, the gym, and going to meet ups with other MINI Cooper drivers.
Aside from what I do, I'm just a very laid back guy. I'm generally not a party animal or do clubs, I prefer just going to a local pub and shooting the breeze instead. Let's go get a pint or five.
PHILOSOPHY
Experience life rather than just view it. I've seen too many close friends just let the world pass them by, and that just makes me sad. I guess I will have to compensate for them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live with people, so I always will run everything by him as far as hosting. We do have a couch available. Other wise, I have been trying to get back into the couch surfing community a bit more lately. I took a break to focus on university, but now that I am finished, I can participate in local events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch surfed in Ukraine during the Euro 2012 with two amazing hosts who gave up their bed for me. I also surfed in Dubai, Mumbai, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. Each experience was amazing.
Interests
Photography, hockey, football/soccer, bass guitar, hiking, indulging in the the local gastronomy, craft beer, photography, and languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
I usually prefer the indie films to most of the remakes that are coming out to day, definitely foreign films, dark comedies. And mostly everything from PIXAR.
Music: Old faithfuls would be Metallica, Four Year Strong (if you like them, +10000 internet points to you), Nas, Ravi Shankar, Lupe Fiasco, Foo Fighters, Bouncing Souls, Streetlight Manifesto, Punjabi MC, The Gaslight Anthem, Against Me! Most people will say that they can listen to anything, but I can't. I don't do the bubble gum pop music that is mostly heard on the pop stations and country.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dog Sledding on a glacier in Alaska
Kayaking in the North Pacific
Hiking in Switzerland
Walking in the desert in the UAE and Oman
Played cricket, rode an elephant, napped on a hammock in the forest with monkeys swinging over head, all in India
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to help break down the annoying American stereotype. I've even seen it myself, we can be so obnoxious at times.
I also really need to learn about other ways of life, I've seen life too much through a westerner's eyes, I need a new perspective.
