Overview
About Me
Lonely beast, kind heart, something weak and on trend. You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. My spirit animal is a mountain goat. I like the feeling of wind getting trapped in my T-shirt, or of sitting high up in a tree. I have once been told that I smell like celery, sweet peas, and strawberries, which sounds like quite the confusing mix of fruit and veg, really.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the words of John Waters, who hitchhiked across the US: I'm not on Facebook, I'm not on Twitter; I need to make new friends. At this point in time I find it important to remind myself of the sunny sides of a global society, and of the countless strangers that'll welcome me into their homes with arms wide open and intuitive trust, and let me crash on their couch, no matter how smelly my feet. Besides, St Andrews is a very small town, gotta breathe some fresh air and hear some new voices once in a while.
Interests
People, peace, and permaculture. I further quite like bikes, bees, baking, and botany, yurts and yoga, as well as (hitch)hiking and hugs. (See what I did there?) Recently, I've been introduced to capoeira and really enjoy it, despite the burning bum aches it leaves me with.

Music, Movies, and Books
Two words: Joan Baez. Besides her peace anthems and music of Donovan and the Rolling Stones I also enjoy listening to old South American men playing their guitars. Some a little less seasoned artists: Laura Marling, Tom Misch, Kevin Morby... gosh there are so many.
Carnage is a great film, as are Harold and Maude, Love and Death, Baraka, and some of the Ghibli Studio animés. Little Lord Fauntleroy around Christmas, and David Attenborough documentaries (I studied Biology, after all).
In keeping with my intellectual standards, I enjoy most of the good old children's classics - Winnie the Pooh, Le Petit Prince, the Brothers Lionheart etc. The Sommar Book, Siddhartha, and Pilgrim at Tinker Creek are pretty good too though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made it through those trials and tribulations of existence all the way into my twenties, and met some truly tremendous people along the way - wow!!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach... maybe some capoeira moves? Some German? Out of ideas.
Learn... what CAN'T I learn?! I like languages quite a lot, and learning about plants.
Share... time; moments. Home-made bread.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll share what I've got. Maybe a blanket and microwave popcorn in front of some Brazilian film. Whatever works.
