About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience new people and things, especially when stuck in one place as I am now.
ABOUT ME
While I am a bit of an introvert, I am an open, friendly, and polite person. My favorite things are a good book, a good cup of coffee, and a good conversation. Having strong relationships with family and friends is very important to me! I am very no nonsense, but that shouldn't keep you from being silly or anything like that. I enjoy all types of people, appreciate all kinds of humor, and am over-all a very open-minded person.
Among my favorite pastimes, I like to read, eat and drink, talk in all settings (to close friends, to new acquaintances, to strangers--though I'm not very good at initiating such situations, in class, etc...), learning in and outside of school, traveling, hiking, taking photos, and so forth. I like new experiences in general.
PHILOSOPHY
Know yourself, and treat everyone in the way in which you'd like them to treat you. Also, never stop learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I participate by creating a profile. I would love to eventually couch surf, but being a student and holding down a job--or two--makes that difficult. Another problem is that Alabama in not such a heavily-frequented place like New York, so there aren't too many events that reach this far.
I am never as involved in anything as I'd like to be!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couch surfing experiences are limited at the moment! I am hoping to expand as soon as possible.
Interests
Books. I am always reading for fun, I'm an English Major in school, and I work in a library. Books take up a significant amount of my time.
Music. I like all kinds of music, but there is a special place in my heart/CD-rack for Folk and Bluegrass. I play violin and, among my accomplishments there I have traveled extensively and played in Carnegie Hall. I also play guitar, a little, and some mandolin.
Conversation. When I have a choice in how a pass a Saturday night, it would be in an intimate setting with a good beverage and an even better conversation.
