ABOUT ME
I'm a very outdoorsy person, I try to do a lot of things to keep active. I like to run, hike, rock climb, canoe, kayak, cycle, but I also like to sit at home and relax with my cat. I'm a friendly, talkative person, but I'm also quite shy.Up until a couple of years ago, I didn't even own a passport. Three years later, I need a new one, it's already full.In 2009, I took my first steps towards traveling and now I have been to 21 countries and couch-surfed in a handful. This spring I am planning on going to Europe (mostly Spain) and hope to travel throughout for five months. I leave in April, starting in London then Amsterdam and continuing south to Spain. I'm very excited so if you have suggestions, feel free to pass them along!
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to make the most of out of life because you never know when your time has run out. To a reasonable extent.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CS after hearing about it from some friends who have traveled around the world. I've stayed with a few cool people in Spain (Madrid and Valencia) and met a few guys in NY.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only experiences I've had are through friends while visiting San Francisco or when I went to Jordan. Those are always the best experiences because you get a sense of what the city is actually like and the habits of the locals. You see it from a local view point, not as a tourist. I'd say my trip to Jordan was one of my favorite trips because of this. My friend and I stayed with two couchsurfers, one in Madrid, one in Valencia. I thought it was a great experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was an amazing experience. I brought my sister and our nephew and we were the only members of the tour group. The weather was forecast to be rainy but other than 10 minutes one day, it was beautiful clear skies and a lot of tough mountains. The views, the experience... all amazing.

You are someone who others will come to rely on for their best travel advice and information. With any luck at all, you'll eventually get bought out by the BBC, so you can retire, and then keep traveling anyway.
