About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See Singapore. Prove it's not a shit City.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun loving , high energy, positive person! Warning: This does not mean I am not sarcastic!
I somehow manage to be the most facially expressionate person in my family whilst at the fame time having a resting bitch face. I blame that on their awful sense of humour.

Looking forward to meeting some kind hearted warm people always! I love to tell stories and hear them too, home cooked meals, wine and somewhat embarrassingly... games. Like heads up, or 20 questions, or would you rather.. I also love riddles. Yeah secret nerd party is me. Don't tell people straight away- lets let them figure it out slowly but surely!

I love finding or funding volunteer projects, and helping to do my part to positively influence and impact the communities I visit. This extends into my previous work in Outdoor Education , bringing groups to do fun adventure activities in Ireland, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia , Thailand, Laos and Switzerland! Said activities include rockclimbing, mountain biking, snorkelling, hiking, caving, kayaking, survival skills , camping and beach fires story sessions!

I’ve recently put my passport on the shelf, and have committed to a full year in one country. Ireland . The mother land. The Emerald Isle. The big green ... field. Say a prayer that I make it through the winter.

The up and coming year is set to be the best one yet! Lets meet and add you to my storybook!

PHILOSOPHY

Try not to worry too much. It doesn't usually help.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Made some great friends, and met some very lovely and kind individuals along my journeys. Mainly in Australia, and the rest were the "more authentic/organic" unplanned couches that just get offered up to you along the road by kind strangers.

Interests

Trying to keep active, or at least go on an adventure every once in a while. Whether it's climbing the mountain, biking, kayaking, SUPing or getting myself to a new country!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a hoarder, love watching ,movies (probably my favourite part about flying!) and I collect books that I start and usually don't finish because I seem to never find the time!

Most recently, I ACTUALLY FINISHED Ernest Hemmingway's 'The old man and the Sea' (it's 99 pages, thank you hemmingway!) and Paolo Coelho's 'The Alchemist)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered in the Philippines after typhoon Hayain in 2013. That was a once in a lifetimer.. Also the Macau tower Bungee jump. That's one to remember..

I don't really liek this heading though.. I would say one amazing thing i've witnessed would work better... SO...

One of the most amazing thing I've ever seen, on a camping trip.. in Hong Kong, on a pier... throwing away some excess water was the bioluminescence lighting up the surrounding area with the most flourescent blue that was soooo amazing, it's hard to believe it's part of nature. That wasn't the amazing part , though it was beautiful... I woke the other people on the trip to let them enjoy it too, just in time for a swarm of jellyfish to pass through that area, lighting it up in perfect circles of different sizes, like some sort of funky dance mat gifted by the gods! It was... the best!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friendly, bubbly, personality... and my experiences teaching outdoor education across Europe and Asia. I can also provide hearty debate on some topics!! ;)
And if the mood suits, I can be a pretty good drinking buddy too! Typical Irish!
Also I'm not a half bad cook, and I wash dishes like a NINJA!
