ABOUT ME

My name is Justin and I'm a 20-something male from the midwestern USA. I was raised in a pretty standard middle class family. I grew up playing sports as my parents would not let me play video games. I still love to play basketball, football and soccer. Now I also mountain bike and play ultimate frisbee. I love to be outside and to exercise and be healthy.

I spent my last year of high school in Ecuador as a foreign exchange student. It was an incredible year that I will never forget. It opened up my eyes to the world. Now I love to speak Spanish and travel the world.

Recently, I've begun to travel by hitchhiking. Like couchsurfing, it allows me to meet new and interesting people. If I'm requesting to sleep on your couch its likely I've hitched a great distance to get there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed several times and had nothing but positive experiences. This really is a great community. I've also been able to host a few travelers myself in my humble abode. It feels good to return the favor.

Interessen

I love the outdoors, especially breathtaking views. They put everything in perspective.

I'm also interested in wilderness survival, organic farming and permaculture. I've done extensive gardening and eco-construction including a straw-bale house that I built last year.
