About Me

I'm a 20 years old Brazilian beer-loving guy, who loves to read and travel. I have two dogs and one brother, so I guess life has taught me to share in the hard way. But what can I say, I just love it! I'm currently studying electrical engineering but I'm always working on my projects as well, like robot soccer and volunteering work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first experience was with some friends, in a competition we went here in Brazil. Honestly, I did not have very high expectations, but it was simply awesome. We had a great time together, and the host changed my opinion and my friends as well. Since that day, I always prefer to stay with some couchers and meet them on my way, not only to change experiences but also to hangout and enjoy the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like some "classical" Brazilian music, like Legião Urbana and Titãs, and some recent artists too, like O Terno, Pietá, Morat and the amazing Lumineers.
I guess my favorite movie is Forrest Gump but I'm always trying to beat it, watching as many as I can.
Books are my not-so-secret passion, and I could list a large number of them, but I will contain myself for now with Machado de Assis, José Saramago and Ariel Magnus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Along with some friends, we managed to organize a bottle rocket competition among the students in one of the poorest schools in my city. It was one of the most emotional moments in my life, as I saw very young (and innocent) children, who had already had contact with drugs and stuff, playing and throwing water at each other, just as they should do. It was awesome!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like to learn new stuff (but that's what's everyone says, isn't it?) and I like to help if I can. I do support the Maker movement, so just give me a call if you need anything! I've been a robotics teacher for kids for 3 years, so I guess I do have some experience in this field. I'm also an electronics technician. Anyway, despite being studying math and physics for most of my life, I really enjoy different experiences and knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences and my knowledge, even though it seems very little to be shared. I can share my enthusiasm and my will to get along with new people and make new friends.
