About Me

Born in South America but living in Southeast Asia. I like the opposites and the possibilities of balance... Independent, easygoing, I enjoy being alone as much as sharing in community. Artistic, free mind, I appreciate the combination of simplicity and beauty. Nature is my base and inspiration.

Since 2012 I live in Thailand with my brother, facing great cultural differences and a challenging hot weather. Here we are creating a small business, designing products and selling online world wide (you can check: www.orientalbazar.etsy.com).

Other projects are going on related to dance, yoga, meditation, joyful and natural living... and during my free time I enjoy riding motorbike around, exploring the country side, different neighborhoods and markets, national parks and mountains of Northern Thailand. It's also good to stay at home, work in the garden, read, write, draw...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is amazing to be welcomed in a home away from home! Couchsurfing is a great invention!
I love to travel and it's very supporting to have a place to arrive and settle in for a moment, to understand a bit of the unknown place and feel the direction of the next steps. It's also a great door to the local culture and people! It is great to travel and make new connections, share what I carry, learn what others do...
Till now I could only surf not host. Hope in near future have a proper place to receive new friends.

Interests

... the human dance with the natural world, the blossoming of cultures, the ancient knowledge alive, the natural way of living... food, music, art, dance, farming, building, trading... and the healing arts of body and soul... traditional medicines, body exercises, breathing the mysteries... The whole human experience concerns me.

I'm interested in history and also in new possibilities... Knowledge and creativity, old and new, here and now!

Lately I'm working with antique textiles from different tribes in Asia. I enjoy the history and life that each piece carry on.

Also, I'm always interested in sustainable ways of farming and managing water, energy and constructions... I feel we need better (more intelligent) approaches as a global civilization living in a limited amazing planet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to tell about favorites... I love music, world music, samba, jazz, instrumental, chill out, reggae, soul... good music

One of my favorite books is Sidartha, by Herman Hesse; The continuum concept, by Jean Liedloff is another great one I just read.

About movies, lately I'm into Myazaki and other japanese animations, enjoying all... Another movie that I like a lot is Samsara, by Indian director Pan Nalin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling by bicycle between Argentina and Chile, crossing the Andes mountains and camping around for few months was something amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share ideas about everything and learn about different cultures, languages and personal life experiences. I am curious about how people make their living and how they find joy.
Also I'm up to learn and share from normal daily activities... some cooking, gardening, cleaning... every time, everywhere the life is happening!

I would be happy to share some Contact Dance Improvisation exercises (specially if you never tried it).
I can also speak some Spanish or Portuguese to practice with the ones who want to learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wherever I go, I like to join some routine and share some work. I offer my help to clean, fix something, or create a garden, cook a meal or play a music...
And sure, anyone hosting me will have a place to be welcomed in Brazil, Thailand or wherever I'm living.
