ABOUT ME

Well, it’s hard to talk about ourselves, but I'll try it. I’m an open minded person, quiet, friendly and I have a good sense of humor. My friends say that I have a big imagination XD
I like to make people laugh, although I am a little shy at the beginning.

I’m 39 years old, I'm gay, and I always love traveling when I have opportunity. I also like to see often my friends and family.
Today I'm not a party guy, but I really appreciate going to bars to have a good conversation and enjoy the place with friends. I also like restaurants, going to the beach (I love the energy I feel at the beach), hiking (not the difficult places haha) and I love discover and visit new places. I like the feeling to discover a new thing even when it’s a simple thing and have a new opinion about it. The exchange fascinate me because it helps us to grow as person.
I love animals (I have 2 beautiful and sweet cats). I love watching tv shows.
I like to help people feeling at home. I also enjoy to do outsides activities like riding a bike, walking in the beach, visiting parks, etc. I love volleyball. I used to play it.

I like having the opportunity to make friends around the world, exchange ideas and enjoy being able to experience different things in the city, having a vision of a local person. I think it adds a lot and help the trip to be completely different. I’m the kind of person that will ask you about culture, about your vision of life, because I like to share and know about what people think. I like people who are curious and have a good conversation.

I love organize meetings with friends, play party games, relax, etc.

I like my city, Rio de Janeiro. I love how there are a lot of activities and places to visit here, how it's a mix of culture and nature and this is something I'm really proud. I'm also proud of people here, the "cariocas" how we call who was born here. I like how people are friendly, happy and try to help others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think couchsurfing it's an amazing experience where you can meet people around the world, making new friendship, learning about culture and other things. It's really great how this can change how you see the world.
I had a few great experiences hosting and surfing where I could understand what is the spirit of CS. Also, I think this exchange is amazing. I hope meeting more people through the CS and make more friends.
Sometimes I also go to CS events in my city to practice language and meet people =D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My ex bf got a promotion of Jose Cuervo to travel to Mexico with everything paid and we were recorded during all the trip. The company made a webserie of this trip and published on Youtube. It was super fun this experience and funny because of the cameras hahaha I've never imagined that we'd get a free trip and we'd be in a webserie haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help with Portuguese and I want to improve my English, Spanish, and French.
I also can help in the city giving some advices, information and what else I know.
I wish I could say that I can teach how to cook, but I'm still learning it haha I can teach you playing volleyball =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

About my apartment: I live in an apartment and I have 2 beautiful and sweet cats (Yuki and Emma), so if you don't like cats or animals, maybe it's not a good place to stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and you can find restaurants, bars and supermarket near. There are many commercial things near.
I live near to the subway (Iraja Station), although I live in Vila da Penha. It's 10 minutes walking to the subway station. The subway is 45 minutes from South zone (Copacabana, Ipanema), 30 min from Downtown and 10 from a big Mall. In fact, there are 3 malls near to my home.

I'm very organized. I live alone. I have a extra room with a couch/bed. It's good!

Important information: I can't leave the key of my apartment with the couch. The administration in the building I live don't let that. Sorry.
I just can host during weekends (Friday to Sunday) because we work during the week and we arrive at night, so we couldn't be there to receive or go out with the person.

When I have time or opportunity, I'll enjoy to host you and help at home =)
