About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Knowing the world and its people!

ABOUT ME

Well, what to say about myself? This is not always the kind of thing that I stop to think, how to define itself. But anyway, here we go...

I'd say I always have been a very friendly person, hardly had difficulties when dealing with others. I mean, I hardly quarrel or have misunderstandings with someone. But in the past I've had some difficulties for being a shy guy. Well, shy, but not that I let it affect me today. Yes I had some difficulties with it, but as time went on and you develop yourself and change, you start to learn how to deal with this kind of problem. And through a lot of effort and interaction with other people, I believe I have overcome this one.

Today I am a person much open to meeting new people, and this is actually one of my favorite things to do! There are so many interesting people, and they add so much to us that it's senseless to deny yourself the opportunity to make new friends and learn.

So I cherish my friends and I love making new ones, and once I have you in my circles, you can be sure you can count on me whenever you need!

Besides, I can say I'm very curious, I like to know why things are as they are and how they work. I love history, and I'm interested in seeing new places, not only for what they are today, but for what they once were.

I am a good partner for different programs, sports, parties, hanging out... but wherever I am, I always appreciate having a safe haven, a place where I can lay my head and rest.

PHILOSOPHY

Be enjoyable, but be true. Leave a good impression in other people's hearts, and certainly you'll get the same in return. Be trully interested in other people's thinkings and feelings, this will enhance your horizons more than you can imagine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been to some CS meetings, hosted and stayed in other people's homes. Nowadays I won't be able to provide a couch (there's no space in my new lair!), but if a fellow couchsurfer needs help or want to hang out in Floripa, please let me know!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm not very experienced to this program, but I would like to share experiences with people all around the world. I already have some experience hosting and surfing with people, but I'm open and willing to know new people and new places.

Interests

History, new cultures and places, meeting interesting people and if possible making good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies and books, my favorites are of scientific fiction, fantasy and medieval stuff. Yes, I do love being drawn into another reality!

Music, this always changes from time to time. Up to this day, my favorite songs are of Classic Rock, Hard Rock and some kinds of Metal. Favorite band? Don't know, maybe Angra, they're just great and I'm really proud they're also brazillian. You don't know Angra? Please search for them on Youtube, they're amazing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I know it is one thing, but I will name two!

First one: travelling to Chile.

Pior to the travel, I had met and made friends with some really good boys and girls from Santiago. When they were here in Florianópolis, we used to hang out and do lots of fun stuff. I always helped them while I could and it was really nice to see that I made a difference in their stay here.

Then the next year a friend (from my city) invited me to go to Chile, and we talked with our friends from Santiago. They received us with open arms and hosted us both as a kings. I stayed more or less 10 days in there, everyday doing something different. It was one of the best experiences I ever had, and teached me a lot about the good of being good to other people. It works both ways.

Second one (amazing thing I've done): Travelling to Europe during my girlfriend's exchange

She was stuying in Berlin, that acted as our safehaven. The city was amazing and I would gladly stay there for years. Everything in Germany just works. I loved the berliner mindset.

We also went (with my mother too) to multiple european cities: in Poland we stayed in Krakow. What a charming city! Would revisit it any day! In Italy we went to Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome. My favorite was Venice, but I would stay more time in Rome to know the city better. And in France we stayed in Paris for 5 days. I think that 1 month would still be too few time to know a city so rich in every aspect as Paris. Don't listen to what they say about the parisian people, be nice to them and they'll you be with you. Very helpful people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being a brazillian guy, I can explain you and make you understand more of the brazillian mindset. I can show you why my country has some incredibly stuff and people, while still having a lot of social problems. Also I'm not really a good dancer like most people here, but I know where to look if you're interested!

Learning is always what enhances us as persons. While knowing people, I always like to learn more about them, the places from where they come and their countries.

I also love some nerdyy culture, games, sports and history. If you'd like to share some good moments and knowledge with me, I'm in!
