About Me
Hi ! My name is Thibault, I am a 20 yo frenchman and I just got back from my studies in Montréal, Canada.
I love to travel ; to discover and enjoy brand new and surprising experiences is what I crave. I am also keenly interested in photography so I try to mix my two passions the best I can !
I would love to share with you my experiences, and cannot wait to hear yours !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Some friends of mine told me about their experience with couchsurfing while on their trip around the world. They told me how great the system was, how it helped them discover hidden gems in places only known by locals.
When I travel, I want to be living the local way, because I believe traveling is not only seeing things, but also tasting, hearing, and sharing experiences with strangers than then become friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : I mainly love two kind of music : Blues and Rock
I am a huge fan of the Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, or alt-J.
I would say my favorite music might be the whole Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink FLoyd (google Dark side of the Rainbow for enhanced experience ;) ).
Movies : I love movies that leave you in complete awe. For instance I loved watching Memento, Looper, or the Butterfly Effect. I am also quite interested in symbolism in movies and I love movies that can be watched on different levels (not a movie but let say Rick & Morty for insatnce).
Finally, if I were to pick one movie from my home country, it would be Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (check it out if you haven't already !).
Books : I started reading seriously quite recently but since then I have read a few that marked me. Ilove books that really transpose you in their own universe. ; thus I loved the Perfume by Patrick Suskind, or The Name of the Rose by Umberto Ecco. I am also a fan of Agatha Christie's novels.
Finally, if I were to pick one book from my home country, it would be Le Voyageur Imprudent by René Barjavel (I would gladly talk about it with you !).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One day, I was proposed to go skydiving just a few hours later and I said yes. It definitely was an incredible moment and I would do it again anytime !
Teach, Learn, Share
My life motto is quite similar to these : Discover, Enjoy, Sustain
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am extremely curious and always eager to discover new cultures, fun facts and anecdotes. I can share with you to my humble life experience. Born and raised in Lyon (a wonderful city of France) I left home to Canada when I was 17 to complete my studies. After 3 years in Montréal, Québec, a lot of incredible memories and friends over the world, I decided to come back for a time to discover Europe in depth !
I also know a bit about France in general as I love to travel to my own county as well !
