Overview
About Me
I got on Couchsurfing during a semester abroad that gave me the opportunity to visit amazing places and meet awesome places. After a short time back home, I got the opportunity to move for work abroad. I'm now back in Europe and travelling on my weekends and holidays, mixing citytrips with adventure travel.
Like any genuine Canadian, I'm friendly, I often wear a checkered shirt, I can build an igloo, I have crossed path with quite a few bears/beers and I say "sorry" more than necessary.
I work in IT and love it, but for me the most interesting part is solving problems, finding solutions through teamwork and collaboration. There's much more to it than being alone in front of a computer!
I also volunteer for a wilderness search and rescue team, and as a navigator for an aerial search and rescue team.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to attend events whenever I can and do my best to help people travelling to places I'm familiar with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
Nice people. Fun with nice people. Outdoors. Cuisine (everything, but especially desserts). Beer. History. Aviation.
I practice or have practiced a variety of sports including biathlon, judo, hiking, trail running, alpine touring, nordic skiing, climbing...
In my quest for adventure, I've started mountaineering and mountain biking, and looking forward opportunities to get into ice climbing and paragliding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing Mt. Katahdin at moonlight to reach the summit for the sunrise and share hot chocolate with friends.
That time I had to provide first aid to someone that was bleeding out... but that's a story to ask me when we meet!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm French/English bilingual and will gladly speak the one you'd like to practice! I have some basics in Spanish, but I'd probably learn more than teach.
I love to learn other languages.
Always willing to learn cooking specialities.
I fly planes. I can hardly carry a plane with me to teach you, so we'll have to use some imagination if you want to learn to fly!
I study & work in IT, so I can possibly help on anything IT.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usually have some maple syrup with me. Or something maple, so I can share that.
I'm not a chef but I'm definitely willing to help cook (and learn along the way)?
I can share my attention: I love to hear about stories, local customs,...
