Hey everyone! My name is Thijn, and I'm a travel and story-hunting 27-year old Dutch guy. I finished my studies in Sweden in the summer of 2021, and have been working for Eurail/ Interrail since (the train pass company). Can tell you all about travelling Europe by train, along with plenty of travel stories from my times in Sweden and South Asia! :)

I'd describe myself as a warm, enthusiastic and curious person who loves socializing and meeting new people. I have a bunch of travel stories from the South Asian region, I'm curious about the country you're coming from, and I can obviously share a thing or two about the Netherlands as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Nothing adds more to a trip than meeting new people, and this is why I like Couchsurfing so much. Friendships and stories are the best things to return home with! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I would say my favourite book is called Shantaram, although it's been a while since I last read it. Music-wise I like listening to rock, alternative and singer-songwriter music, along with South Asian music. Haven't delved as much into music lately though, but I do still go to concerts from time to time :)

I attended a wedding in Pakistan, and lived in rural India for 6 months.

I can share a series of travelling stories I'd say, and I'd be happy to teach Dutch to those of you who are interested. I am also very much down for extensive political discussions, but I guess that's only for a small amount of people. ;)
