About Me

LIFE MISSION
Turning every stone, one at a time.

ABOUT ME
European mind but African heart, eager to learn, down to earth, hopelessly optimistic, restless, ambitious, sometimes a bit detached and most of all blessed.

I'm a 25 year old student. Finished my Master degree in Science at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

PHILOSOPHY
Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While traveling noticed that cities/regions are far more than the museums, churches, mosques and hystorical sights, I want to learn about the people too. Sharing my experience and especially learning from others.

Interests

I'm a huge music fan. While I listen to pretty much every genre from Rock (Talking Heads), Soul, Classical, House to Jazz, Disco takes the cake for me. I love both the old and the new.

I also love to prepare a fresh diner, especially foreign cuisine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: See above.

Film: Probably my favourite past-time occupation. I love my film, especcially the ones who make you ponder for times on end. Favourite recent film is "La Grande Bellezza" by Paolo Sorrentino. Favourite classic would be "The Bridge on the River Kwai" by David Lean. Other directors would include Lynch, Kubrick, Wojciech Has, Tarantino, Buñuel and many others.

Books: Not as much time as I used to have, so don't read as much as I once did. Usually classic litterature with a heavy philosophical bearing. Favourite is easy, "Report to Greco" from Nikos Kazantzakis, the English translation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fought a sheep once, didn't lose but also didn't win.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Both fluent English and Dutch speaker, don't mind hanging out with someone who's less versed in English. If you want a challenge I can teach you the fine pinches of some Dutch dialects.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a Host
Currently unaviable due to moving.

As a Surfer
