About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To flow. Panta Rhei...

ABOUT ME

*** My site says that I am traveling but I am actually living steadily in Belgium at the moment. I am open to having surfers, I share my house with Elsie Maelbrancke my girlfriend and Ortwin. THey are also are my friends on CS and you should just apply through them. Since I am originally registered as living in the U.S. it won't let me edit.*** ask away friends.

My name is Cody Watson. I am an artist, traveler, lover, skater, surfer, snowboarder (any board sport-er), Photographer etc... I love tennis, soccer, running, swimming, mountain biking and being. I am a Pisces. I am continually amazed by the correlation between my Piscian Life Path and the life that I live. The coincidences are miraculous. Its nearly unfathomable at times. I just smile and keep living. I love it. Whether fluke or not I seem to be thinking a step ahead of my reality sometimes, intuitive. I am consider myself spiritual and I love the earth. I am a huge advocate for the preservation and respect for this majestic spaceship that we are all traveling through the universal prana on. I love Yoga and love to be one with my body and everything that I possibly can. I love my fellow (wo)man and hope that one day humans may learn to efficiently communicate and work together to solve the obvious problems that exist. I Communication is the key to our universe. Lack of communication will be the fall of man. I try to be opened minded and flexible with ideas and people. I love going with the flow and letting what happens happen. It always works out that way. Not to say that I don't help to create my destiny I strive not get too worked up over unnecessary things that I can't control, (when ever possible) sometimes I catch myself getting all worked about external things that I don't control (silliness). I just breathe, sit back, and relax. Like water I flow to areas of least resistance and fill the container I am poured into.

PHILOSOPHY

Love and gratitude and communication are the three corners of the universal triangle. God is love. God is everywhere, God IS the earth, God is the energy within us all, God is Prana, God is the universe. I no longer look up to confront God but rather I look within. God is me... God is you. We are all one and the day that we may all realize that, manifestation and evolution of people to the next phase of our existence will be achieved.

Karma resonates within me as something to respect and acknowledge, though I try not to get to caught up in it.

I think that education and general evolving of the mind and growing are the prizes of life. They are gifts that we may take with us to the next life, if that exists. Sharing with others and learning and teaching and just being. Its all so amazing I can't even explain it with words. Not even with body movement it may only be known and possessed within.

I read a very incredibly article today about students telling what the seven wonders of the world. Everyone came to agreements on grandeur natural landscapes, large buildings, etc. but one little girl said softly... " The seven wonders of the world are to taste, to touch, to smell, to see, to hear, to laugh and to love." I think that that is what everyone should consider the seven wonders of the world.

Everyone gets so caught up in bright lights and objects they seem to forget how amazing life itself is and how grateful we must all be. How incredible even the simplest things are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf and have open arms to surfers. I think that is the name of the game.

I have had such amazing and lovely experiences with CS ers, I feel compelled to provide similar help and openness to others, as I have been graced with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a couch surfer by nature but never before have I heard of an organized couch surfing network... brilliant!
One very amazing couch surfing adventure began in Costa Rica south of directly west of Montezuma in a place called Malpais. If you've been there you most likely went to the Tabu bar and probably saw or met Andreaz the German.
Staying with him was a Hunter Thompson journal that I lived. Starting every morning with a box of wine and saying hello to the four foot lizard living on the upper level of where the ceiling met the roof. Hanging out with Andreaz and a man we simply called Tico. All to similar to Thompson and his Samoan Associate. My friend and I stayed in one of the two houses he had for rent in exchange for great stories, boxes of wine and friendship. The surf was great and the locals were very avid to play a game of football with us. Very interesting times spent with such great people.

I have also surfed in Belgium with some wonderful people and there I met my love. This was my first real CS experience and it became one worth a lifetime... and still is building.

Interests

I am very interested in what my purpose is to my community, state, nation, planet and universe.

I am interested in religion, though spirituality is more what I would consider my belief. I take all religion to be true in its rudiment which, in most cases states that God is love. And those who may embody love may have God within them and those who show gratitude to the earth and universe for their existence will be loved in return by others and the universe.

I am interested in people. I love photography and catching people in their daily ritual brings me great joy. I love stopping time. Time that is very personalized and unique for that moment and subject for all of eternity.

I dislike screaming rock, most punk, country, and anything that is too hateful. Including a lot of rap that just consists of too much negativity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have helped people. Mentally or physically. I think the most influential thing to do is to start a positive ripple in a pond of human lives so that that ripple may pass to everyone eventually making its way back to me.

I think its amazing what people are capable of.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that everyone has a specialty. We just need to find it. Its a great idea to have a teacher-student attitude going into any situation.

I think that I prevail in counseling and hearing people out. I like to interpret art work, dreams, and actions and what they mean to the creator of them.

If a fellow sufer came my way I hope that I could show them my life style and show them a unique culture and creed that I possess as a result of being a melting pot of all I have been exposed to and have learned in my time.

Countries I’ve Visited
