ABOUT ME

I am a community oriented "solutionary", proactively engaged in bringing about a cultural shift and working to usher in a new paradigm of human existence on this fragile planet.

I currently dwell in a tiny house I built several years ago which is located in a small land-based intentional community outside of White Salmon, in Washington State. It is my goal to create a regenerative homestead and permaculture learning center and to develop a reciprocal relationship with the land upon which I live.

I'm a dreamer by birth and a Montessori teacher by trade. I'm passionate about teaching and believe strongly that the right approach to education will change the world.

There was a time that I loved to travel, and wanted to see as much of the world as I possibly could. Now--as a result of the undeniable and devastating impact that burning fossil fuels has on our Earth--I have developed severe moral reservations around flying. I am actively working to re-structure my lifestyle to limit fossil fuel usage, and am passionate about re-learning how to use more ecologically responsible forms of travel to pass on to future generations (sailing, keeping horses, and hopping trains are among the many ideas I'm exploring as avenues for getting from place to place in a Good Way). Though international travel no longer feels responsible or sustainable to me personally, I understand and respect that everyone is on their own journey. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories, and I feel that it's incredibly important to continue to cross-pollinate as we work to build this New Global Society.

As for the rest... well I do love to dive deep into conversation... perhaps we'll have a chance to share one :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted and surfed many couches in the past, but my current lifestyle leaves room for neither. I do, however, LOVE TEA, and conversation, and would very much like to meet and talk with anyone who feels called.
