ABOUT ME
Hey everyone! My names Kathleen, but my friends call me Kat. I'm originally from Seattle Washington in the United States. My family is Greek and Irish, and I was able to experience both parts of my cultural heritage when I lived with my family in Greece when I was sixteen, and then just a few years ago when I finally got to go to Ireland.
Now I'm back to live in France for a second time, and excited to do some more couchsurfing!!
PHILOSOPHY
I know I'm only twentytwo, but I've been through a lot of stuff in the past couple years and it only made me stronger. I am thankful for everything that has ever happened to me because it made me the person I am today. I honestly think no matter how life goes down, everything at the end is a good experience. Even the bad stuff will lead to good, in the most round-about-ways. Because for some hopeful reason I believe that everything will work out in the end, and if it hasn't worked out then its not the end.
I also believe whole-heartedly in the wise words of Misters Lennon and McCartney "the love you take is equal to the love you make", and that whatever you give you'll get back three fold. Its all about the karma...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I actually just started on couchsurfing a little while ago, and I haven't had a lot of experience, but I'm looking forward to doing some more surfing so that when I can get back to Seattle I can start hosting myself!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I met up with some couchsurfing people just to hang out in Dublin, and also couchsurfed for a few days in Liverpool with Ruth (who is amazing), and met up with a bunch more couchsurfing kids there. I just got back from couchsurfing in Amsterdam on Queen's Day, which was probably on of my favorite CS experiences so far! Next step is to do some couchsurfing in the states! :D
Interests
I was creative writing and French student, so obviously I am way into literature and languages. After I've mastered the French language (which is a slow but steady process) I want to rekindle the little bit of Greek I know and build that up too. Maybe after that Spanish?
Other then that, I love just about everything from bars to poetry to music to museums.

Music, Movies, and Books
AW man. I really love the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet, not because I am a hopeless romantic, but because I am in love with Shakespeare and the fact that the movie is so close to his actual work makes me fall in love with every little word. I also really like Ocean's Eleven and I think it might be my secret dream to become George Clooney. As far as music: I love a little of everything, especially classic rock. Just don't quiz me on it because I'm pretty sure I don't know as much as I think I do about different music types. And books? I love books. Hands down. Anything written well has got my approval.
