ABOUT ME

I have always liked to sleep over at friends places if I happen to be in their part of the world or just for fun! Of course it works the other way around too, and I often invite friends over to come and visit me and spend some days if they can.. So the spirit of couch surfing, the openness, the friendliness, the hospitality, the helpfulness and the curiosity comes very natural to me, and I like meeting others feeling the same!

PHILOSOPHY

I like optimism, and am generally an enthusiastic and happy person. I am curios about most things I encounter. I always want to know what's behind the next corner or stone or page. This is both why and how I live my life. New exciting experiences is always waiting and I want to find out how and what they are this time!

This doesn't mean that I am not deep and philosophical and serious.. just that Im optimistically deep, enthusiastically philosophical and happily serious.. ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea and spirit behind CS! I have done much to support it by joining, organising and promoting activities etc. Altough nowadays not nearly as much as I used too..

Even though there have been many changes since I started I am still generally very optimistic about it all :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met many cool couchsurfers (and non couchsurfers for that matter). I especially like the events and meet ups in CouchSurfing, and have have participated and organised quite a few.. (not as much nowadays I must admit, but some years ago alot.. =)

Interests

I have a problem that I am interested in too much.. it varies a bit depending on my mood, but what I spend my time doing includes: Gym, Aikido, social dancing, video games,board games movies, books, clubbing, hiking, couchsurfing, exploring, living, helping people, relaxing, enjoying life, going crazy, - among other things =)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested in Films and books and try to watch/read a lot.

When it comes to books, Im mainly a SF/Fantasy reader. But with movies I watch everything, from classic, serious "foreign" dramas to the normal hollywood action blockbusters.

My preferred music includes HeavyMetal/HardRock, 70/80's disco, blues/traditional jazz, House/Techno, RockNRoll.. etc.. depending on the mood.. :)

I also enjoy playing video games (Xbox360 mostly) and board games (euro- and ameri-)

But in all is simply not enough time to do all he cool stuff I want to including working with my rather enjoyable job..! .. gosh life is harsh.. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing to date must be when I took an extended leave in 2012 together with my girlfriend and stayed in Costa Rica for 6 weeks studying spanish and relaxing.. Then traveling in central america for 6 more weeks.. Great!

Also a very memorable moment was when I studied in Tokyo, Japan 2006 and me and some friends hiked up Mt. Fuji. We walked during the night and it was very very dark, but then we came above the clouds and the stars where shining down at us, and all the world lay by our feets. the lights from a city or something shone through the clouds, making it look like nordiclights in the ground, wow that was so great.
And later actually reaching the top an hour after sunrise, totally freaking exhausted, as one of the hundreds of people doing the same thing.. that felt good, as we were part of something big, and magical..
All in all Mt.fuji was really really amazingly cool! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Im always interested in learning or trying something new, life is a journey both for the body and the mind and I try to get the best out of it, even the strange and boring parts.. =)
