Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Somos nuevos en Couchsurfing y también en esta comunidad. Es la primera vez que lo usamos pero nos apuntamos con el objetivo de conocer gente nueva, salir de la rutina y salir de nuestra zona de confort. Toda la belleza y el amor que la gente nos dio se lo devolveremos a los demás al hacer lo mismo una vez que estemos de regreso en nuestra propia casa y durante nuestro viaje.
Hemos aprendido que aunque no podamos dar todo el tiempo a la misma persona que nos tiene podemos dar a otra que le dará a otra.

We are new on Couchsurfing and so in this community. It’s the first time we use it but we signed up for with the aim of meeting new people, getting out of the routine and leaving our comfort zone. All the beauty and the love that people gave us will be giving back to others by doing the same during our travel and once we are back in our own home.
We have learn that even if we can not give all the time to the same person who have to us we can give to an other one who will give to an other one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tuvimos la oportunidad de vivir en varios países, experimentando tanto el estudio como el trabajo en el extranjero.

Hortense tuvo una experiencia como au pair en Estados Unidos durante un año.
Luego, nos conocimos durante un Erasmus en Suecia, y nunca más nos separamos.
En cuanto a mí, trabajé durante varios meses en Vietnam.

Después de terminar nuestros estudios y nuestros respectivos contratos de trabajo, decidimos irnos a la aventura durante un año por varios países de Sudamérica. Creemos que el couchsurfing es una forma estupenda de conocer gente fascinante e intercambiar ideas.

We had the opportunity to live in various countries, experiencing both study and work abroad.

Hortense had an experience as an au pair in the United States for a year.
Later, we met during an Erasmus in Sweden, and we never parted again.
As for me, I worked for several months in Vietnam.

After finishing our studies and our respective work contracts, we decided to go on an adventure for a year through various countries in South America. We think couchsurfing is a great way to meet exciting people and exchange ideas.
