One of 7 sons born to my mom and dad. Dad ran a Radio Station in a small town in Athens, Alabama. He fed us, we had everything we needed. But we grew up poor. Dad could barter well and though we were poor, we didn't know it. I'm a grandfather, married for over 30 years, two children with their Master's Degrees. I am a home whisperer. Really, they do communicate with me. I love my work as a home inspector. I'm not a spring chicken and I don't wake up and take an early morning run...but I can walk all day. I don't have any pressing medical issues. I love spicy food and conversation. I'm not kidding myself, I know my age and that the journey i am on will be the last lap around my world and I'll know when to head to the barn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Someone said, Let the Journey be the Destination. I thought about it a lot. I want to taste, smell and feel the fabric of this county and its people are the grandest assets.
