Hi! I'm Tom, I'm 20 years old from Devon and although I did love travel before I really caught the bug for it after deciding to inter-rail through Italy for five weeks in 2016. Since then, I've spent a lot more time travelling around Europe and am currently studying towards a Music degree.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling through Italy, I exclusively used hostels, and I absolutely loved getting to meet other travelers from all over the world at every new place I visited. This time I wanted to get a bit more perspective on the locals of areas, so decided I'd do a combination of two this time, Couchsurfing and staying in hostels. Also looking to save a little money!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to think I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music. I enjoy a variety of things and like being introduced to new music and styles, but the main things I listen to are The Killers, Panic! at the Disco, Frank Turner, R.E.M., The Smiths, Death Cab For Cutie, Green Day, Cinerama and Chvrches.

I'm quite a big film person, some of my favourites are The Lord of the Rings, Gladiator, Castaway, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Midnight In Paris and Monsters Inc.

I really enjoy reading when I do it, but I am a little burned out from studying English in school. I'm currently reading Dan Brown's Inferno. My favourite book is The Catcher In The Rye. I grew up reading the Harry Potter and Darren Shan series, so those mean a lot to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've got a decent grip on technology so I could give a hand there if anyone needed it. I also play guitar so I'd be happy to teach a little bit of that!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Having done a little travelling now, I'd love too share stories and hear some too! I'm happy to help out with tasks like gardening or fixing things up. As I play guitar, if you play music it could be fun to jam a bit!
