Hi

I'm Thomas. I have been in LA for a while, though I may be moving soon. I originally came out for a film program, which I left to focus on my own projects while supporting myself as a translator.

Currently I'm weighing between going to Japan to work as an editor at a media start-up focusing on art and architecture while doing freelance filmmaking on the side, or staying in LA to go back to school for a STEM field. I'm thinking of going into genetics so I can work on anti-aging therapies. If I spend Life 1 on getting myself more lives, then I can have hundreds of years to do all the things I want to do. Including: learning mechanical and electrical engineering well enough to be an inventor, being an astrophysicist, a multimedia artist, a humanitarian worker, a neuroscientist, an entrepreneur, a philosopher, a writer, an astronaut, an architect and designer, a historian.

I think one of the coolest legacies would be that of the progenitor of a new discipline, like Freud and psychology, Turing and computer science, or Wiener and cybernetics.

I don't eat meat, fish or dairy, but we don't have to talk about it. Just noting a dietary restriction.

Music: I like stuff that's unlike anything I've already heard

Books: I try to jump back and forth between categories (literature, humanities/philosophy, science, poetry, mythology etc.). My favorite book is maybe the I Ching because it's the oldest known choose your own adventure book

Films: I like things I've never seen before. But I especially like stuff that has a sense of mind-expansion, liberation, or re-evaluation of reality

I like having conversations about academic or intellectual topics even though I often don't know enough to debate properly. I think I am good at asking questions, however.

I am also a decent cook and could make dishes hosts may be unfamiliar with.
