About Me

Hi, I’m Thomas 👋

I’m a physicist by background and currently working as a consultant. What I value most while traveling are genuine conversations, shared meals, and learning how people actually live and think in the places I visit.

I would describe myself as calm, open-minded and thoughtful. I enjoy meaningful discussions just as much as quiet moments — whether that’s a walk through a city, hiking in nature, or simply having a coffee together. I’m curious about many things: philosophy (with big influence from Nietzsche), economics and the usual stories of live .

As a guest, I’m respectful, tidy, and independent. I don’t expect entertainment, but I truly appreciate the opportunity to connect and exchange experiences. I’m always happy to help whereever I can or share a meal or a good conversation.

For me, Couchsurfing is about trust, openness and human connection — not just a free place to sleep. If that resonates with you, I’d be happy to meet you.

Looking forward to crossing paths 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of getting directly in contact with locals when I travel. Especially if I'm travelling on my own, that´s the perfect way to meet a lot of nice people. For me this is, what vacations are really about!

I´d also love to share my home with you guys, especially if you´re not just looking for free accomodation, but also interested in getting to know each other and my hometown Würzburg.

Interests

Doing Sports (Ju Jutsu, climbing or skiing), taking a walk or reading a good novel.

Music, Movies, and Books

70s music is my favourite and I like novels from the early 20th century like Herrmann Hesse or the contemporary novels like Benedict Wells - The End of Loneliness or Janne Teller - Nichts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Missing my flight back home from Jakarta, but then being supported by a local manager, who was insisting on providing me two Hotel nights and several Taxi drives, simply because he wanted to lend a helping hand.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honest and respectful chats and a helping hand.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Indonesia, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey
