Music, Movies, and Books

When I was in high school, I suddenly became obsessed with jazz, but only Cool Jazz, the first favorite was Paul Desmond, listening to O Gato every day, accompanying me to spend countless nights alone. Later on, I found bop jazz fascinating as well, but bop jazz emphasized rhythm over melody more than Cool Jazz, especially its modal phrasing, which appealed to me.
