Hey guys, my name is Thomas and I originally come from Germany. After graduating from University, I decided to do a "Gap year" between my bachelor and master stuides to discover the world and get to know different cultures. During my stay in South America I was an English teacher to socially disadvantaged Colombian teenagers in Bogotá for more than 2 months. Now I am doing an exchange semester in St. Petersburg and try to discover the beautiful East European soul with all its differences towards to what I am used to from Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, Couchsurfing is an unique opportunity to get to know people in their familiar environment. This disburdens people to ease up and talk in a more personal way. Since I am really interested into how you see life, what makes you happy and how your interpretation of "living your dream" looks like, I would be really happy to hear your opinion. As for me, I can provide you with the rather German approach of a "good and happy life" which is probably distinct from your interpretation.

Until now, I travelled to various places all around the world. I've spent 5 months in Hong Kong , 3 months in Colombia and now 6 months in St. Petersburg. Maybe we can share our experiences and compare different traditions in different parts of the world.
