Overview
About Me
I am currently engaged to my fiance, Courtney, and we have just moved to South Korea to pursue a beginning in English teaching. We love to be outdoors doing any activities that keep the legs and arms moving. Since having moved to South Korea hiking has been a main interest and exploring as much as possible is a top priority (this includes as much of Asia as possible). I am personally a very keen sportsman and love natural exercise. I also enjoy a quiet moment every now and then to put life back into perspective because there is just so much out there. I am a Christian and my faith is incredibly important when it comes to my personality and my outlook on life. I love life, family and friends as those are the most important things to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing in an attempt to connect with others abroad and to offer up space in my own home should any weary traveller be in need of shelter :) I love traveling and so does my fiance, so what better way to see the world and create friendships at the same time than to couchsurf.
Interests
Sport is high up on the list and includes the following - Tennis, squash, cricket, golf, rugby, football, wake-boarding, snow-boarding and most other ball sports.
Traveling has become a huge interest and I try and do one big trip once a year at least.
Smaller, but noteworthy interests include chilled leisure time with family and friends, a good read and continually expanding my skill sets and knowledge.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is an area I cannot expand on too much because there are too many genres of each option that I enjoy. So it really just depends on what it is and whether I can put up with it :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have sailed from South Africa all the way up the west coast of Africa to Gambia on a 12 meter mono-hull sail boat with no refrigeration and no electricity. It was probably the most incredible travelling experience of my entire life and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone who is willing to brave the seas.
Teach, Learn, Share
Give me a shout or come stay with me and I will hand over as much teaching, learning and sharing experience as I can.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a South African culture like no other, as this is where I grew up and lived most of my life. I have many travelling experiences to share and quite a lot of advice to give on the subject to those who are slightly intimidated by the many things that travelling has to offer. I can share a strong Christian faith that is not judgmental to anyone else's religious views or life opinions.
