About Me

Hi there, I'm Thomas.

I'm an easy-going danish guy, who loves to meet new people with all kinds of backgrounds. I love experiencing new fields, places and cross my own boundaries by exploring uncertain activities. I will never be that complete adventure-traveller-hunting-every-inch-of-the-world-kinda-guy, but I do plan to see new interesting places further from home as the time and money allows it in the future.

I will graduate as a psychologist this summer (2022), and work towards being hired as a Ph.D student at Aalborg University. My biggest interest is in human behavior related to helping through charity. I also love to discuss morality and ethics, evolution and culture and philosophy of living this life among many other interesting topics.

I also love to play and write music on my guitar. You can check it out here:

My personality
People have to decide for themselves, but I value compassion, kindness, curiosity and honesty.
I'm relatively "ambivert", friendly and outgoing, but I also value what is quiet and calm. We can share personal, intellectual and funny conversations and I respect privacy as much as I love company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've currently only had experiences with hostels, but the opportunities of meeting new people at such places have been very pleasant, which opened up my interest in connecting with more people through Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is great since you get to meet locals, which I see as the most rewarding experience of travelling. It's nice to have locals recommending places and experiencing the culture from locals' perspectives.

I hope to connect with like-minded travelers, and go out to have fun and see the country, though it's not an absolute requirement if the host/traveller is busy. As a host, I usually have everyday tasks to take care of, depending the requested dates from travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is usually something that inspires my own playing when it comes to guitar, which can be broad. But I often find myself listening to rock/pop-rock genres most of the time, as well as folk/acoustic music.

When it comes to movies I'm into the Tarantino, Spielberg and Nolan's cinematic universes, and I like to discuss the details of these movies.

Teach, Learn, Share

A nice little piece of music on guitar, or a jamsession if you'd like. Psychological and philosophical concepts and ideas. Discussions, beers, fun, and adventures in the area.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respect and reliability as a guest, a beer (or several), deep conversations and a laugh in between - and going on adventure.
