About Me

Hey, my name is Thomas (25) and I'm currently writing (or rather, supposed to work on) my Master thesis in the fields of political science. In my spare time I like to go out, visit new places and getting inspired by other people's lives. In general, I consider myself to be quite an open-minded person who's (hopefully) not complicated to live with (so far, I haven't gotten any complaints from my former flatmates, at least;))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To search and look for nice hosts in foreign countries while offering a place to stay in Bremen myself

Interests

Listening to and making music (guitar, bass guitar). Riding my longboard. Reading novels and comic books. Going to the movies (e.g. sneak previews). Traveling and visiting friends

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Watchmen, Animal Farm, Theater plays by Berthold Brecht
Music: Quite a lot and pretty hard to pin it down to some specific bands/artists. But if I had to choose I would definitely go with Funk music (Breakestra, Quantic Soul Orchestra, etc.), Post-Rock (And So I Watch You From Afar), Psychedelic/Classic/Blues Rock (Black Keys, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles), Electronic music (e.g. Digitalism, Justice, Pleasurekraft) and some "old" Hip Hop (Delinquent Habits, Beastie Boys, etc.) Oh, and not to forget: my big love Oasis, of course!
Movies: Boyhood, Grand Budapest Hotel, Fargo, 2001 (and lots of others)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Enjoying picknick with a bunch of super friendly Vietnamese strangers on the middle of the road while getting a free pick-up ride to their village with quite a lot of rice liquor afterwards

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always eager to meet new people and to learn something about their lives and stories. Sharing-wise, I offer free guitar lessons and/or being a nice company for any cooking sessions, pub crawls, clubbing tours, sight-seeing tours, talks about politics, ...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice gift from the beautiful city of Bremen, of course ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, India, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
