Overview
About Me
I have lived in Groningen for over two years now, having grown up in South Africa. I am currently doing my PhD in Neuroscience.
I love to meet new people from all over the world, and enjoy discussing anything from culture, sports, philosophy, you name it. I am always open to learning from others, and believe that being humble and open is the best way to live your life.
I am laid-back and spontaneous, and I want to feed my desire for adventure.
My travel journey has mostly consisted of solo city trips, but I also get out in nature whenever I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I normally travel solo. Couchsurfing would allow me to enrich my travel experiences by spending time with locals, getting to know the culture, and making connections. I usually stay in hostels, as I enjoy making international friends, but I don’t meet many locals this way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy rap music (both American and British) as well as pop and house. When it comes to movies and books, thrillers are always my favourite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to the Netherlands on my own having never left Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m always willing to learn some new languages, and I am a qualified to teach English as a Second Language (TEFL).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a polite, well-mannered, and self-sufficient person. I can offer to help out with chores around the house, or to cook a great meal (I can cook food from many different cuisines, but my baking skills still need some work).
I have many stories and ideas to share with anybody willing to listen :)
