About Me

Hi everybody! I am Thomas from Germany, 29 years young.

On the 1st of May 2017 I am started traveling the world overland, from one country to the next.

I sold everything, resigned my business, finished my studies and so on. There is no materialism waiting for me in Germany. So home is where I am right now.

In the beginning of March 2019 I finished my first journey, mostly through Asia.

I wanted to find out what is the Meaning of Life, in general and for myself in this very life.
So, without big plans and following my instinct, I tried and did everything from meditating and praying at a very silence and secluded place in the middle of nowhere on the hand to working and volunteering very closely for and with some of the poorest of the poor People in the world in dirty and noisy conditions on the other hand. We can learn soooo much from the poor...

However, I found something I was looking for.

Now, it is not about traveling for me anymore. Just be happy where you are with what you own and appreciate life.

From April - October 2019 I was in Mexico. This country was always in my mind during my journey in Asia, while I only knew rumours like it’s dangerous and dealing with drug problems. Only rumours I guess... because finally I had a great time over there and found some more answers towards life.
Sadly I had to leave because my visa was over....

Before I will head back to Germany close before Christmas, I am in the USA now.
Right now I am in California, but I will go to New York to work and help in the Bronx with the people in need.
Once I will be in Germany again, my almost 3 years journey will be over.
But my point and perspective towards life have completely changed!!!

One more Information about me:
I am a Vegetarian/Vegan, do not drink alcohol, smoke or take any other kind of drugs. Also making party isn't my passion anymore.
After seeing so much crazy shit in the World with my own eyes I appreciate Life much more than ever before... (Unfortunately, there is a limit to share personal experience just with words or even with pictures...)

When I will be able to host you again - just write me!
All persons from all over the world are welcome.
I don't care if you are gay, lesbian, older, younger or whatever - on the first view we are all different but in the core we are all equal :) (I am not gay)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My dream is to make the World a better and more just place. Less egoism and more love and charity everywhere I go.
I want to change the world and the world to change me, because there is so much I never can learn at the university or in a job 40hours a week ...
