Overview
About Me
I am Thomas Spijkerman, I live in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) together with my girlfriend Henriette. Amsterdam is a very inspiring and secure place to live. Of course, it is very small, which is why I like to travel so much. I work as a theatremaker, writer, singer and performer as well as artistic director and producer in theatre, art and television. I also work as a teacher at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam. I spent the last 9 months travelling over the world, having a sabbatical after running a theatre & television company for ten years (Circus of the Sad Animal) as well as being artistic director of a masters programme (Reinventing Daily Life). Currently we (Henriette and me) are setting up a new house of production for art and theatre. We are looking forward to meet you and to welcome you in our house. We have space for two people (seperate beds) and prefer short stays (max 2 nights). Note(!): we won't accept unverified profiles and we only respond to official requests using the calendar (and not to single private messages asking for a stay).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
