Hello my name is Thomas, i'm 21 years old, and I'm currently attending a college in Austria studying Mechanical Engineering. I'm never lived in a place long enough to call it home, for which i'm grateful for as it has allowed me to to experience different cultures and terrains. I was born in Germany, 2 months later my family moved to Pakistan due to my dads work. A year later we moved to Tynjin where we stayed for four years. The next adventure was Schanghai (7 years) and finally Dubai (7 years).

Servus mein Name ist Thomas, Ich bin 21 Jahre alt und studiere grade Maschinenbau in Oestereich. Ich habe noch nie lang genug in einen ort gelebt um es ‚da heim‘ nennen zu können und dafür bin ich dankbar da es mir die Möglichsten gab um verschiedenen Kulturen und lender zu erleben. Zwei Monaten nach meiner Geburt in Deutschland ist die Familie nach Pakistan gezogen wegen der Arbeit meines Vetters. Ein Jahr schpeter treibt es uns nach Tynjin wo wir für vier Jahre lebten. Des nexte Abenteuer war Schanghai (7 Jahre) und schließlich Dubai (7 Jahre).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly a place is only as good as the people who live in it. For that reason it is as important if not more important for me to get to know the people of an area and not just the history and scenery. For the same reason i'm excited to house people from all over the world who may by chance cross paths with me. Secondly there is no hotel in the world that can give me better advice (where to go, what to see, what to avoid) of an area then the people who live in it. Furthermore the friendships that can arise from sleeping on the couch of a stranger are worth more then any sweet in any hotel.

Erstens finde ich das ein ort nur so gut ist wie die Laute die dar leben. Für diesem Grund ist es mir genau so wichtig und wenn nicht mehr die laute von einen ort kennen zu lernen und nicht nur die Geschichte und die Sicht. Für diesem Grund bin ich begeistert laute von der ganzen Welt kennen zu lernen. Zweitens es existiertet kein Hotel auf der ganzen Welt des mir Besseren Rat über einen ort geben kann (wo ich hin gehen soll, was ich anschauen soll, wo ich aufpassen soll) als die Leute die da leben. Ausserdem die freudschaft die sich entwickeln kann wenn man auf die couch von Fremde schläft ist mir mehr wert als irgendeine sweet in ein Hotel.
