Overview
About Me
Loves to explore new places, do crazy stuff, and laugh!
To meet new people, make music with them, improvise and learn from all of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My name is Thomas, and I come from Lier which is a small cozy village in Belgium.
I'm holder of an academic bachelor degree @ KUL (University of Leuven).
After 3 years of studying though, I decided it was time for a break, to expand my view about the world and what I can do in/for it. I'd love to discover new countries and cultures, also out of Europe, and love to make some connections with people around the world.
I passionately sing in a choir (Youth Choir Waelrant, check waelrant.be), and now I'm also busy reading books, playng instrumental music, going out, plannning a trip...
I hope to meet you soon! :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1) I would like to have a wonderful time with people (from) around the world.
I think Couchsurfing is a great way to immerse yourself in the culture & habits of the people living somewhere, and to also share your own culture, stories, food, music etc. with them.
2) I have more time than money to stay somewhere, and I am always very grateful when shared a couch and some house heating with :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer, I went for an amazing trip with 5 friends in Norway.
First, we went kayaking for a few days in the beautiful fjords starting from Flam, packed with our tents and food.
Later, we went trekking in Jotunheimen National Park (see picture), walking from hut to hut and having some amazing views and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Although I'm a percussionist by (music) education, I love to play music on any instrument (vocal chords, saxophone, djembe, piano, guitar, ...) and I would love to make some music with my hosts.
- I can surely also teach some Dutch, or Math if you'd like that ;-)
