About Me

Some may call me nerdy, others may say I'm pretty crazy, and maybe you'll even find people who think I'm a cool guy. But in the end, you'll have to find out for yourself, without letting others prescript your opinion.
If you wanna hang out and see if we get along, I'm a pretty open guy who's always down to grab a beer, a juice, a coffee, or whatever floats your boat.
On the other side, if you already feel confident that I'm not a complete asshole, that proves that you're a pretty uncomplicated person (the best kind of people ;) , and we'll probably get along very well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People always write page-long explanations why they are on couchsurfing, but for me it's a very simple reason: I love traveling and sharing experiences and if, while doing so, you can make new friends, that's even better!

Interests

I love doing stuff with friends: be it cooking for my buddies, just chilling, going out to grab a drink after work, or partying, I'm a rather social person, and a day without friends is usually a crappy day.
Nevertheless there are times, where I also want some time for myself, and if you give me a good book, I can forget everything around me for hours.
Then, if I'm not busy doing one off the above, you'll find me either rock-climbing/bouldering, on the golf course, or in the taekwon-do gym.

Music, Movies, and Books

There's a time for every music: hip-hop during training, reggae to chill out, electro/house in the clubs... If you make me listen to some new music, you'll never find me laughing at you because it's a certain genre, or because it's mainstream, etc. If I like it, I'll listen to it no matter what others may or may not say.
Concerning books: have you ever tried the series around the 'Malazan Book of the Fallen' by Steven Erickson? You might give it a try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not the most awesome thing I've done, but one of the moments I will never forget, was after a colour-run to collect money for homeless kids in my town, one of exactly these homeless kids came to me (I was one of the organizers at that time) with 1€ and told me he wanted to help his friends too and donated that one euro... I'll never forget his smile when I accepted his donation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't pretend to be the best cook alive, but I'll gladly share some fun stuff with you on how to look like you got the fanciest recipes, while using things that fit in a student's tight budget!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about my travels through Europe and the US, and hour-long complaints about the difference in taste of the American beer vs the German beer ;)
