About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find a needle in the haystack

ABOUT ME

smiling through life. i'm a born and raised englishman who's spent the past 15 years in the northeast of the US (when not traveling). i consider life one long adventure and we're all here to explore what the world has to offer.

PHILOSOPHY

i strive to live my life and achieve my own full potential as an individual and to seize all opportunities presented to me for better or worse. as said before, life is one long adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i am embarking on a year-long solo odyssey through europe and africa. this is my first CS trip. i have enjoyed some wonderful cs gatherings already and thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2 weeks and counting. spending time with native people in their element is so rewarding and it exposes a whole different side of travel. i'm loving every minute.

Interests

i am passionately in love with music. since i was a young boy i've always had a close relationship with sound and as i grew up it became clear that music would always play a vital role in my life, no matter where i am or what i'm doing. i write both quiet, peaceful songs but i also love experimenting with upbeat, electronic, groove-driven music because...

i love dancing. there is nothing better than a buzzing, jumping dance floor where you can sweat away your troubles and feel the beat pulsing in your bones. dance and music also both represent an international language that breaks all boundaries.

the city is where i belong. during the past 3 years living in philadelphia and the previous 4 years in boston i've found myself seduced by city life. the hustle and bustle of a downtown area, the style and the nightlife; every metropolis offers unique experiences that are rarely found outside of the city. sometimes i think all young people should live in a city because there is so much happening all the time! i'm playing with the idea of living in brooklyn if and when i return to america. love that town!

football is a huge passion of mine. i follow the premier league primarily but love the german and spanish competitions. i have been playing for a pub team in philly for the past year and i've found that i spend most of the week in between matches thinking about getting back on the pitch.

i'm also an avid recreational cyclist, bad joke teller, fair weather sailor and a miserable coffee and beer snob. that's me! take it or leave it!
