To use my school holidays to explore as much of the world as possible. Next stop: a handful of visits to the USA.

ABOUT ME

I am an educated, outgoing and adventurous Brit who enjoys meeting new people and seeing the world. I love travel, new experiences and adventures. I've been teaching Geography in a secondary school in London for the past couple of years and am trying to use my summer holidays to explore on as near to a shoe-string budget as I can manage. I used to live in South Korea and haven't really ever shaken off the desire to travel

I love anything active and outdoors! Be it exploring downtown, climbing mountains or playing a pick up game of the local team sport. I play a lot of rugby, love sci-fi and gaming and I can even whip up a cracking risotto given the opportunity!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everything is here to be experienced. We should, more often than not, throw caution to the wind when given the opportunity to try something new; be it teaching in a foreign country or trying a local delicacy that just happens to still be moving on the plate.

Our lives are a sum of our experiences and it stands to reason that we should have as many as possible!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was pointed in the direction of CS by a friend who traveled the states by way of people's generosity. He said his experience was great and I'm hoping to both make use of this fantastic generosity and pay it forward in equal measure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolutely zero, I've heard good things from a number of friends though. Hopefully in my travels I will be able to fill this out with some positive experiences.

I'm pretty handy in the kitchen so if you need practical cooking skills then I'm your man.

Also, if you want to get yourself in shape then I'll happily show you around a few different exercise routines.

And finally, if you want to know anything about Higher Education then just ask, I worked in the industry for two years.

I would love to learn about practical outdoor skills (navigation especially!). Also, some extra Korean practice would be great!
